We Need You To Help Us Change The Mainstream Media
Good Afternoon Sense-ibles,
I hope this digital update finds you well. First, thank you to the people who have been sharing our work and content. I’ve had a number of stories come in from members of this community. Overhearing people speaking out #CommonSensePodcast on the bus and seeing our reel/tik tok on a son’s phone! Some really amazing moments that show the power of sharing content!
Honestly, we at Common Sense are so grateful for everyone who shares our content and all the amazing members of this community who ensure that our message is getting to as many people as possible! Since some new people have joined this community, let me share with you our mission and also what we are trying to do here.
🧭 Mission
To make democracy more healthy by creating spaces for people who disagree to have fruitful dialogue.
🔭 Vision
Our vision is to be community-driven, creating online and offline spaces for community cohesion, fruitful dialogue, and empowerment.
This week at Common Sense Live, we have been speaking internally about how we make sure our content includes as many diverse perspectives as possible. It can be hard to find these perspectives because they are often overlooked
⚖️ Values
The Common Sense Network is an independent news outlet.
We were founded by 500+ ordinary people who saw a problem with the mainstream media and did something about it. This means we are not solely driven by profit margins or vested interests.
We are a platform kept alive by our community whom we exist to serve. In a digital age, where the news cycle moves at dizzying speeds, news has become noise.
The Common Sense Network is a platform our readers visit to discover stories that matter.
The visit to discover stories from across the political spectrum, local stories, stories that hold power to account, that uncover wrongdoing, that empower the forgotten and the unheard.
We are on a mission to build the broadest coalition of diverse commentators in the UK. Our articles are well researched, well written, and straight-talking. We remain committed to providing multiple perspectives on issues because we believe, there are two sides to every story....
As I’ve said, we need your help. We want you to comment, share feedback and also suggest to us amazing people who may fit in nicely into our network
