Community Update: We Are Growing
Labour in turmoil, a spy among us, and why wisdom still matters
Dear Sensibles,
It has been a busy week in politics and culture, and if you have been watching closely you will know that the Labour Party is in the early stages of an implosion with cracks starting to show. The resignation of Lord Mandelson, one of the party’s great powerbrokers has thrown the movement into confusion. Add to that the ongoing controversy surrounding Angela Rayner, whose influence has split opinion within Labour’s ranks, and you have the picture of a party wrestling with itself at a crucial moment.
Nobody quite knows how this story ends. What is clear is that Labour enters the coming months carrying deep divisions, and it is a reminder that politics is never as neat as the speeches and slogans make it look. This is a developing story, and we will be keeping an eye on where it leads.
Common Sense Podcast Episodes
While Westminster wrestles with itself, we have been busy bringing you conversations that cut deeper than the headlines. Our podcast this week features voices and stories you will not hear anywhere else.
The Spy That Snuck Into The Iranian Regime
The first is a conversation with a woman who lived a double life as a spy inside the Iranian regime. She tells a story of courage, fear, and the strange tension of carrying secrets that could cost you everything. Listening to her recount her journey is both thrilling and sobering. It pulls back the curtain on a world most of us only glimpse in films.

What a MULTIMILLIONAIRE Learned from the OLDEST Book in the world
Another conversation that stood out for us this week was with a multimillionaire who shared how his greatest lessons did not come from business schools or market insights but from scripture. He spoke about wisdom, stewardship, and the way ancient truths shaped the way he thinks about money and life. It is not your typical finance conversation. It is richer, deeper, and strangely refreshing in a culture obsessed with quick hacks and overnight success.
You can listen to it here:
Each of these conversations reminds us why we do what we do at Common Sense. The world is noisy, opinions are loud, and news cycles move fast. But underneath the shouting, there are always human stories worth hearing. Stories that complicate the easy narratives, challenge us to think again, and invite us to see the world with fresh eyes.
