Black British Pub Quiz - Our First Event
You're invited!
We are excited to announce that we are hosting our first-ever live event in our new studio in South London and we would love for you to be there!
Do you know Britain's first black Queen or Henry VIII's black trumpeter? Do you know your Beverly Knight from your Big Shaq? Can you guess the name of the town that the HMT Empire Windrush docked in?
If you already knew the answers to these questions or are curious, then you are going to love our Black British Quiz Night hosted in celebration of Black History Month and the publication of The Detail Magazine.
Our Black British quiz night will be hilarious and informative and will push your Black British knowledge to the limit. The quiz topic will focus on: History, Film, Politics, Sports and Pop Culture. We will also have some live interviews and performances on the day.
How it works
You can either register as a team of 5 or just grab a ticket for yourself and we will put you into a team when you get here.
You and your team will then play against a number of other teams, all competing to be crowned winners at the end of the night.
There will also be opportunites to network and have a good time (even with people who aren't on your team)
Think of this event as a celebration of Black Britishness and the undeniable impact of the diaspora. It's a chance to explore this new magazine and also to have a fun night in London.
Black British history is British history, so this event is for any and everyone that has an interest in Black British history or wants to know more!
